Diagnosing, treating and managing a wide range of renal conditions in children

Medical problems involving the kidneys can present in a range of ways, from diagnosis during pregnancy on antenatal scans to infections of the bladder and kidneys. Some range from short-term treatable disorders to more complex conditions that require ongoing care.

Our paediatric nephrologist can help make an accurate diagnosis and develop a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to your child’s specific needs, while helping you learn how best to manage your child’s condition.

Our clinic has the experience and expertise in all facets of renal medicine to treat children across the whole spectrum of paediatrics, from babies to adolescents. We can assess and treat for a variety of renal related issues experienced by children, including:

    •     Dilated kidney on antenatal scan
    •     Impaired kidney function
    •     Urine infections
    •     Day and night-time wetting problems
    •     High blood pressure (hypertension)
    •     Chronic kidney disease (CKD)

As a multi-disciplinary paediatric clinic our other specialists are also available for consultation if your child has a separate, related condition. Working closely together we ensure that they receive the most appropriate care in a safe, warm and reassuring environment.
