Assessment and treatment of children with physical development and mobility conditions
Children can experience a range of conditions affecting their physical development and mobility. These could be the result of a major illness, an orthopaedic condition, cerebral palsy, or a sports injury. Many are complex conditions that require professional diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care.
Our paediatric physiotherapist can help make an accurate diagnosis and develop a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to your child’s specific needs, while helping you understand and manage their condition. They will work with you to develop a programme to improve your child’s range of motion, strength, endurance, balance and coordination.
With extensive expertise in paediatric physiotherapy our specialists can assess and treat a variety of conditions and issues, including:
-
- Cerebral palsy
- Delayed motor milestones
- Sports injuries
- Rehabilitation after major illness
- Rehabilitation after major surgery
- Spinal cord injuries
As a multi-disciplinary paediatric clinic our other specialists are also available for consultation if your child has a separate, related condition. Working closely together we ensure that they receive the most appropriate care in a safe, warm and reassuring environment.
Please ask for a referral to The Children’s Clinic or contact our friendly team directly to find out if we can help with any aspect of your child’s health needs.
