She then went onto specialise as a Paediatric Feeding Therapist at Manchester University, United Kingdom. She set up a paediatric feeding department in Havering in the United Kingdom, treating babies and children with a range of feeding and swallowing difficulties.
Mandy has worked as a paediatric feeding therapist at Royal North Shore Hospital in the neonatal and paediatric wards. Mandy has extensive experience in assessing and treating newborns, infants and children with various feeding difficulties including: Medical and behavioural feeding difficulties; difficulties with breast/bottle feeding; gastro-oesophageal reflux; transitioning from feeding tubes, transitioning to solids, fussy eaters and Paediatric feeding disorders.
Mandy has attended and trained in multiple therapy approaches including; Sensory Oral Sequential (SOS) program, Division of Responsibility (Ellyn Satter), Responsive Feeding, AEIOU Feeding Approach, Melanie Potcock, Suanne Evans Morris, Gillian Griffiths (Sensational Mealtimes), The Australian Academy of orofacial Myology (foundation and advanced) and many other approaches. Mandy incorporates her knowledge to develop an individualised feeding plan for every child to ensure that theirs and their family’s needs are being met.
