Specialist Paediatric Allergist and Immunologist
Dr. Kaur is a Specialist Paediatric Allergist and Immunologist. She is associated with the Department of Allergy and Immunology at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She is the New South Wales Representative for ASCIA (Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy) for 2018.
Dr. Kaur started working with NSW Health in 2004 as a General Doctor. She commenced her specialist training in Paediatrics in 2008. Dr. Kaur has trained at Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick, and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She was awarded the fellowship (FRACP) in Paediatric Allergy and Immunology in 2016 by The Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr. Kaur has over 10 years of paediatric experience. She specializes in caring for infants, children and adolescents with food, drug and insect allergies, eczema of any severity, delayed food/gut allergies and intolerances, Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE), Food Protein Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES), asthma, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), recurrent fever syndromes and immunological conditions.
Dr Kaur is involved in teaching medical students from the University of Sydney and FRACP paediatric trainees in The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Her current research project include a multicentre study which involves improving diagnosis of peanut allergy (CRD-Component Resolved Diagnosis).
Dr. Kaur has presented at various national and international conferences. She won “Immune deficiency Award” for best presentation at Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) conference in Auckland, September 2017 and travel scholarship.
