Dr Lara Ford

Dr Lara Ford is a consultant specialist in Paediatric Allergy and Immunology. She graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2002 before undertaking paediatric training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, and becoming Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 2007. She completed a Masters of Public Health at Harvard University, and then a three-year fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York under Professors Hugh Sampson and Scott Sicherer. She became Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology in 2010. Since returning to Sydney she has worked in the Department of Allergy and Immunology at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and been admitted to fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians. Lara has published research papers in peer-reviewed journals, most recently focussing on food allergy. Her expertise also includes eczema, allergic rhinitis, asthma, and other allergic and immunologic conditions in children.
