Dr Aimee Wiseman

Aimee is a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist and specialises in all aspects of gastrointestinal, nutritional and liver conditions.

Aimee completed her paediatric gastroenterology and hepatology training through the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network and a Fellowship in Hepatology, Liver and Intestinal Transplant and Clinical Nutrition at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. She was awarded an International Inflammatory Bowel Disease Scholarship to New York Presbyterian Hospital and also completed a Paediatric International Public Health Internship at Weill Cornell Medical Centre, New York USA.

Aimee has a background in International Law and Public Health, having worked at the International Criminal Court in Den Haag, The Netherlands prior to completing her medical training. She has a passion for holistic patient care, nutrition and global health as well as family based medical care focused on treating the whole child. She is published in global health journals and in various areas of gastroenterology and hepatology, and has ongoing research interests in hepatology and transplant medicine as well as immunology and inflammatory bowel disease. Aimee is also a keen educator and holds Teaching Fellowship and Associate Lecturer positions at Melbourne University and UNSW Medicine.
